Retail / Luxury / Jewelry · since 2025

A bijouterie tradition becomes digitally visible without losing its greatest strength: personal advice in Thun. For Laura Kirchhofer, we built a holistic omnichannel strategy — from Click & Reserve through local SEO to street promotion in the Christmas season. Strategy and marketing implementation ran from a single team.

Becoming visible without losing personal advice

Laura Kirchhofer stands for personal advice, a curated selection, and trust grown over generations. But this strength used to live almost exclusively in Thun. Online, the bijouterie was visible — but not digitally usable. There was no way to discover jewelry or watches calmly from your couch, reserve them, and then experience them in store with expert guidance.

On top of that: it wasn't only the shop that was missing. The integrated strategy that carries a Swiss premium retailer in 2025 wasn't there either — the kind of strategy sparring that holds a premium retailer together over years. SEO, local SEO, content, newsletter, social, Google Business, SEA, POS communication, shop windows, print, local awareness — all relevant channels, but without a shared line. The central question: how do you connect digital convenience with local advice without diluting the brand DNA?

The most important foundation for that was a modern Click & Reserve architecture, cleanly connected to the ERP. Only then does omnichannel become real — and not a marketing buzzword.

Strategy & analysis

Before anything was built, we went a level deeper. Target groups, personas, market environment, and competitive positioning got sharpened. Who buys premium jewelry in the Bernese Oberland today — online, offline, hybrid? Which customer journey leads from the first Google search to the consultation conversation at LOEB Thun? From those answers, a new marketing and communication strategy emerged that consistently thinks digital and physical touchpoints together.

Customer journey map: STDC model phases See, Think, Do, Care

Along this customer journey we mapped strategic measures and tactics per phase — from awareness through research to the store visit and long-term loyalty.

Omnichannel marketing, local SEO, and SEA

Strategy was followed by channel mix. SEO strategy, local SEO with a clear focus on Thun and the Bernese Oberland, a cleanly structured content architecture, an optimized Google Business presence, data-driven newsletter marketing with automations, and social media concepts with premium tonality form the organic foundation. On top sits SEA — search ads and local ads, which build reach during defined campaign windows and trigger reservation conversion. Each channel with a clear role: build awareness, solidify trust, trigger reservation, draw consultation into the store.

Click & Reserve: concept, design, build, and operations from one team

Click & Reserve is the centerpiece. Customers discover products online, reserve them simply, and pick them up in person in Thun — including the consultation that makes the difference. To make that work, AHEAD OF TIME assembled a hand-picked specialist team for exactly this task and covered the full path: from concept and UX through design to development. After launch it continues — ongoing care, regular performance reporting, and future development sit with the same team.

A stumbling stone that often delays launch in premium retail projects: product images. None were initially available in usable form — so we organized them and processed them automatically with a custom image-processing tool. Size, format, background, dimensions, SEO-optimized image filenames, and the modern WebP format have since flowed consistently through a pipeline tuned exactly to this site and search-engine requirements.

Behind the visibility sits architecture. UX, SEO, and system architecture cleanly designed; product data and image enrichment structured; a direct ERP connection implemented; and local conversion deliberately optimized. The result is a platform that doesn't compete with the store — it works for it.

Live marketing & street promotion in the Christmas season

Omnichannel can also be very analog. Christmas in Thun: the city is full, attention is scarce, willingness to buy is high — the moment for live marketing. Conceived and produced by AHEAD OF TIME, street promotion campaigns run in the hottest retail phase, bringing Laura Kirchhofer into personal encounters with (potential) customers outside the store. Additional awareness exactly when it works — and a direct bridge to the POS, because people you've met on the street walk into the store with a different mindset.

Local brand communication at the POS

Omnichannel doesn't stop at the website. We design shop window optimization, POS communication, print collateral, social assets, DOOH campaigns, and local awareness campaigns in the Thun area in a single brand language. Whether you encounter Laura Kirchhofer on Instagram, at the LOEB entrance, or in the newsletter — you see the same bijouterie, just in different states of matter.

What the new omnichannel architecture changed for Laura Kirchhofer

Scalable omnichannel architecture

The new platform connects online discovery with local advice. That is the foundation for sustained omnichannel impact in premium retail — and at the same time an architecture that can scale with the business.

Click & Reserve as a tangible shopping experience

Reservation from your couch, pickup and consultation in store: a process that lets digital convenience and personal proximity work for each other instead of against each other.

Stronger local visibility in Thun and the Bernese Oberland

Local SEO, Google Business, SEA, local awareness campaigns, street promotion, and consistent POS communication all work toward the same goal: anyone searching for a bijouterie in the region — or walking through the city centre — meets a brand that doesn't hide.

Brand communication from a single line

SEO structure, newsletter automations, social concepts, shop windows, and street promotion now follow a shared brand language instead of a collection of one-off measures. That reduces friction in everyday operations and increases the impact of every individual touchpoint.

Voice from the project

"Our goal was never just a webshop. We wanted a holistic digital marketing and omnichannel strategy, data-driven marketing measures aimed at creating a shopping experience that combines digital convenience with personal advice."
